Intratuin opens its first flagship store in Deventer

On 1 March 2019, Intratuin opened the doors to a brand new flagship store in Deventer. The products remained familiar, but the retail formula has undergone a complete overhaul, focussing on a literal green lifestyle. In the newly built 9000 m2 store, customers can find (outdoor) plants, (garden) furniture, pet supplies, home accessories, and also learn about topics such as “life in the garden.” An orangery in the outdoor area provides space for various workshops, the Vegetable Garden sells fresh fruit and vegetables, and visitors can enjoy food from the local greenhouse in the Tasting Garden. A visit to this brand new flagship store not only provides inspiration, but also imparts knowledge about nature through green facts, advice, and inspirational stories.

Two different routes

The new Intratuin location in Deventer introduces the completely redesigned concept that Intratuin, SVT Branding + Design Group, and Breddels Architects have been working on for over 5 years. Because the brand-new Intratuin store is comprised of different concept stores, visitors literally step into a lifestyle “magazine” where they walk through various sections. This new concept aligns with the changing society, where speed and convenience on one hand, and experience on the other hand, are important consumer desires. To cater to these needs, a short route has been created for the fast and purposeful shopper, while an extensive route with diverse departments is available for Intratuin fans who want to take their time browsing. The inspiration journey already starts in the parking lot, where skilfully landscaped display borders provide ideas.

Catering to all tastes

Whether you’re aiming for a fragrant garden, ground-covering borders, a vibrant garden, or a shade garden, Intratuin caters to all tastes. Twan Jongbloets, store manager at Intratuin, says, “We are incredibly proud of this atmospheric layout, where visitors feel like they’re entering a different world each time. Our extensive range and accompanying craftsmanship are showcased even better than before, and visitors can easily find the plants, tools, garden furniture, or home accessories that truly match their taste and preferences.” In addition to high-quality greenery and interior/exterior accessories, people can participate in various workshops. On the shop floor itself, at “Life in the Garden”, practical tips and tricks are provided on making the garden more attractive to butterflies, bees, insects, and birds. At the “Flower Atelier”, visitors can create their own bouquet (or can have the floral stylists do it for them), and “Eating in the Tasting Garden” offers dishes made with seasonal products. And on the extensive pet department, there are cuddly house rabbits to interact with. A visit to the new Intratuin in Deventer is truly an outing for the whole family.

At the new Natuurlijk! Intratuin flagship store, the focus is on experiencing life with all your senses.
