The consumption pattern of the human being changes continuously. Consumers are not consistent and switch between specialist store, discounter and supermarket all the time. Also for this reason Simon Lévelt has asked SVT Branding & Design Group to develop a new store formula in order to realise a number of objectives. First its authority in the field of coffee and tea should be clearly established. Apart from that a formula should be developed in which the completeness of the offer is justified and the in-store communication propagates thorough knowledge of the product.
By means of a Look & Feelsessie® the points of departure were listed, both in writing and in images. Based on this the new core values were formulated. The main issue was to focus the communication more on the emotional moments of use. This affective value has been presented in an appealing way in the store. The result is an inspiring and informative store that evokes all sorts of stimuli with the consumer and leads to extra sales.
The first new store with the franchise formula was opened in Maastricht; subsequently branches have already been opened in Bussum, Utrecht, The Hague and Gent. The results are so appealing that the roll-out is prepared.
